Peter King hails from Yorkshire. He moved to Herefordshire in 1996 to learn the skills necessary to fulfill his dream of eventually becoming a sculptor. After competing his course at Hereford College he continued his practical training by working for a famous blacksmith in the Breacon Beacons. During this time he worked on the restoration of Windsor Castle, including working on the original flowing wrought iron strapwork that now adorns the great oak doors in to St. George's Hall.

These days Peter draws inspiration from the natural world around him and from his travels further afield. In the summer of 2006 he walked 500 miles across northern Spain and in 2007 he spent a month as artist in residence at a foundation 'Artspace India' in Kolcata.

Peter's innovative climbing plants supports and bold & dreamy sculptures adorn beautiful gardens across the country,

Peter King's work is to be seen at various exhibitions during the year. 2008 has included 'Artspace' in Henley on Thames, 'The Sculpture Show' Cheshire, 'The Sculpture Show' Kent, Bishops Palace 'Art Fest' Hereford, R. H. S. Spring Show in Malvern and Old Chapel Gallery & Shieldbrook Gardens both in Herefordshire.

"I enjoy creating original works, utilizing my skills and imagination. I'm happy also to work with clients to realize their ideas."
